Accommodation problem

Sir,
Kindly refer to news item, “62 legislators enjoy  multiple accommodations— “in DE dated Nov 9, 2017 in connection with the Durbar move from Srinagar to Jammu or Jammu to Srinagar. The Govt authorities especially the Estates Department is bound to provide and arrange accommodation for all ministers and legislators of both the houses and other concerned for which there are quarters and hostels available to the Estates Department for this very purpose. But this year, it has been seen and noted by some persons dealing in RTI that 62 legislators of almost all major political parties are holding multiple accommodations both in Govt Quarters and MLA hostels in both the divisions of the State. They exert political influence to get it forcing the department to hire private buildings and quarters at exorbitant rates to provide accommodations to those legislators who are without residential facilities there by laying unnecessary burden and pressure on Govt coffers, and at the same time burden the poor tax payers. This situation can be voided if these legislators give up extra accommodation voluntarily in favour of those who do not have it. These legislators can set an example of a law abiding legislator.
Yours etc…..
