JAMMU, Apr 20: Gangyal police apprehended an absconder, who was at large since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
The accused has been identified as Prem Raj, son of Chaman Lal, a resident of Draptay, Gagian, tehsil RS Pura.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 10/09 under Section 341, 323 and 336 with Police Station Gangyal and Court has also issued arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
It is to mention that, Gangyal police arrested four absconders in the past one week.
