8 IAS officers from J&K get Secy, AS ranks

JAMMU, July 19:  The Centre today ordered empanelment of eight IAS officers of Jammu and Kashmir cadre to the rank of Secretary or Secretary equivalent and Additional Secretary in the Government of India.
Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Secretary, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Suresh Kumar, Additional Secretary, Union Ministry of Coal, both IAS officers of 1986 batch of Jammu and Kashmir cadre, have been empanelled as Secretaries in the Government of India.
Six IAS officers of Jammu and Kashmir cadre were empanelled as Additional Secretaries in the Government of India.
They are Sudhanshu Panday (1987 batch), posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Pradip Kumar Tripathi (1987 batch), Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Arun Kumar Mehta (1988 batch), Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Atal Dulloo (1989 batch), presently posted as Joint Secretary, Rural Development Department, Government of India, Umang Narula (1989 batch), posted as Principal Secretary to the Governor and Raj Kumar Goyal (1990) batch, posted as Principal Secretary Home in Jammu and Kashmir.
