7 artists of ICCR leave to participate in Parvasi Bhartiya Divas

Jammu, Jan 5:  Seven artists team of ICCR Jammu left here today for Bangalore to participate in 14th Parvasi Bhartiya Divas in which representatives of 30 million NRIs and PIOs from across the world will participate.
The team is being headed by the Regional Director of ICCR Jammu Balwant Thakur who has conceptualised and designed the presentation ‘Celebrating Diversity’ for being presented in the honour of Prime Minister on Janurary 8.
Terming this as a great honour for ICCR Jammu, the Regional Director of ICCR Balwant Thakur informed that all has been possible because of the constant efforts of ICCR Jammu in achieving high levels of professional standards which match with the International performance standards. It is great moment of honor and pride for the state of Jammu and Kashmir that the world prestigious programme is being opened with the programme being devised and presented by the artists of the state.
Recently ICCR Jammu mesmerised thousands of world audiences at the Trafalgar Square, London and now this will be yet another accomplishment of the organisation to perform before the Honourable Prime Minister of India who will inaugurate this prestigious three day world event in the IT-BT capital of India Bengaluru.
Never before in the history, the performing arts of Jammu & Kashmir could achieve such top honours and this much of the pride, prestige, and respectability. It all started happening only after the coming of ICCR to the state of Jammu & Kashmir under the stewardship of Balwant Thakur who through his total professional knowhow has taken the arts of Jammu & Kashmir to ultimate International heights.
The artists who are going to participate in this prestigious event include Sunny Mujjoo, Asha Kotwal, Deepak Kumar, Deepali Sharma, Saloni Verma and Jyoti Kumari.
