JAMMU, May 22: Police rescued six bovine animals and arrested a smuggler, today.
As per police sources, a team from Gadigarh laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra Bollero vehicle bearing registration number JK02BG-5528.
During checking, police team led by SI Arun Sharma, Incharge Police post, Gadigarh with the directions of SHO Satwari Kulbir Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO, Gandhi Nagar, Sachin Gupta and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand rescued 3 bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Asan Mir, son of Mohammad Qasim, a resident of Katyal, R S Pura.
A case under relevant section has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
