JAMMU, May 22: One week campus placement drive was conducted at Government Polytechnic Jammu to provide the employment opportunities to the final semester and passout polytechnic students of Jammu division.
The companies, which participated in the drive, included  UFLEX Pvt  Ltd Unit-II, SIDCO Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana, Mahindra and Mahindra (Swaraj Division, Mohali), Ericsson India Pvt Ltd, Sahaj-e Village Pvt Ltd, Multicare Services Pvt Ltd,  Rooman Technologies Pvt Ltd and Indian Institute of Skill Development (IISD).
Eleven candidates from Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation branch were selected by Uflex Pvt Ltd as Junior Engineer Trainees at the salary of Rs 10,000/- per month. Mahindra and Mahindra (Swaraj Division Mohali), selected 35 candidates of Mechanical and Automobile. The elected students are placed at Mohali Plant of Mahindra and Mahindra as Diploma Apprenticeship Trainer and will be paid Rs  8500/- stipend during the training.
The Sahaj-e Village Ltd  selected six students at the package of Rs 1.2 lacs per annum during the training as CCE, Back- end office operation and Promoters.  Prithvi Singh was the resource person from Sahaj-e Village who conducted the drive.
Multicare Services Pvt Ltd selected 15 students for three month training at Mumbai and will be paid the stipend as per the norms of Udaan Scheme  and after training they will be placed as Assistant Manager with minimum salary of  Rs 15000/- .
The Ericsson India Pvt  Ltd selected 21 students of Electrical and Electronics Branch.  Nineteen candidates from Computer Sciences, Information Technology and Electronics branch got selected for Rooman Technologies. In the drive of IISD, 80 candidates appeared in the interview and 26 of them  were selected for training.
Er  Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu impressed upon the students to participate in the various placement drives with full enthusiasm and make full use of their professional & technical skills for employability to various organizations.
