JAMMU, May 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said India shouldn’t bother much about whether Pakistan changes its approach and that for the last 10 years he has put a lock on the neighbouring country being a factor in running India.
“We shouldn’t bother about Pakistan. We have moved far ahead,” Modi told Republic Media Network in an interview.
Asserting that he has put a lock on Pakistan being a factor in running India, Modi said we shouldn’t bother much about whether Pakistan changes its approach or not.
“I have put a lock on Pakistan being a factor in running India during last 10 years of the Government,” he added.
The Prime Minister was of the view that let Pakistan manage two square meals and that India doesn’t need to waste time on Pakistan as our country has moved far ahead and we should not develop ourselves while keeping them (the neighbouring country) in mind.
“We should instead think about our new generation and take care of them,” Modi said.
Addressing a massive election rally in Telangana, the Prime Minister recalled that bomb blasts used to take place in the country 10 years ago.

“But such terror attacks don’t take place now,” he asserted.
He said those who opposed abrogation of Article 370 (which granted special status to erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir) and triple talaq will lose the elections.
In the interview with Republic TV, the Prime Minister said even the world knows who will win the elections. “I have been getting invitations since June last year with world leaders telling me that I will win the elections”.
He said the Congress misused resources of the Government during its rule which led to its collapse.
“The Congress misused resources of public sector enterprises for 60 years. A reports by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) had revealed that 69 public sector companies were ruined due to mismanagement,” he said, adding the BJP Government ensured that there is no political interference in the Public Sector Undertaking resources by the political class.
Modi refuted the Opposition claims that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is seeking 400 seats to change the Constitution saying he wanted to celebrate the Constitution Day but it was the Congress which opposed this.
Saying that Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of the country altered the Constitution, he said the Congress has always attacked spirit of the Constitution by imposing President’s rule in the States over 100 times.
“Not me, but it’s the Congress which wants to change the Constitution by introducing religious reservations,” the Prime Minister said.
He said Bharat can grow only with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas and that there should be no discrimination based on caste, creed and religion. There should be no regional discrimination as well, he added.
The Prime Minister maintained that he has zero tolerance for corruption.
“The game of deceit has to come to an end. Corruption will be wiped out. Only those who are untainted can fight against corruption,” he said.
Modi also said that he is taking legal advice on how to return the money of poor people ‘looted’ in corruption saying he is examining whether the land taken in ‘Land for Jobs Scam’ in Bihar can be returned.
“After I assumed power, those who lectured on corruption have been exposed. Our fight against corruption is not guided by vengeance. I have made it clear to anti-graft agencies to take action irrespective of person or party,” the Prime Minister said.
