RAMBAN, Jan 5: Police rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested one smuggler.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station laid a naka near Shan Palace and intercepted a Srinagar bound vehicle bearing registration number JK02AH-5977.
During checking, police rescued 13 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested a smuggler, who has been identified as Yaqoob Hussain, son of Mohammad Aslam of Digwar, Haveli District Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 2/19 under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
