NC Minority Cell demands job to martyred cop’s kin

JAMMU, Jan 5: National Conference (NC), Minority Cell, today expressed concern over delaying tactics adopted by the Government in giving job to next kin of martyr Deepak Thusoo who laid down his life in Kashmir while fighting terrorism last year.
The president of the Cell, M K Yogi in a statement issued here, today said that Government has failed to provide a job under SRO 43 to the next kin of martyr though tall promises were made at that time by the concerned officers.
He demanded that the martyr’s family be given justice without further delay. Yogi also demanded that the Stadium at Jagti township be named after martyr and Rs 2.25 crore sanctioned for the Stadium by the Central Government be utilized for its development.
He said the Cell in coordination with local youth will organise a cricket tournament in the Stadium from February 1, this year on the name of martyr.
He said a delegation of Minority Cell in this regard met the provincial president, NC , Devender Rana, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, M L Rain and Additional Commissioner in Divisional Commissioner’s Office and put up the demand before them.
Yogi also demanded development of parks, proper sanitation in the camp, deployment of CRPF in Jagti township, allotment of shops to deserving people, fencing of the colony to stop free movement of cattle, resumption of SRTC bus service to the township, implementation of PM package on fast track basis and installation of street lights in the township.
