JAMMU, Jan 5: Bishnah police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor bottles from his possession.
As per police sources, on credible information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at Deoli and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK02BM-4785.
During checking, police recovered 50 small bottles of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Raj Kumar, son of Pritam Chand of Deoli Tehsil Bishnah.
A case under FIR Number 2/19 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of Incharge SDPO RS Pura Sukhdev Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
