JAMMU, Feb 1: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) held protest demonstration at Press Club here today against National Conference which staged walk-out in the Upper House for declaring September 23 as gazetted holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
The protest was lead by President Yuva Sabha, Surinder Singh Gilli. Addressing the media persons, president YRS opposed all the members of NC who walked out from Upper House against the passage of resolution for declaring State holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh.
Gilli further added that some of the members of political parties like National Conference were trying to play with the sentiments of the Jammu people. He warned that if they continued all such type of activities then all Hindus of Jammu region would stage protest against NC and every person who will try to play with the sentiments of the people here, said Gilli.
Gilli further added Maharaja Hari Singh was the one who removed untouchability from the State, provided proper education to all the sections of the society, stopped child marriage and many other reforms which were made by Maharaja for the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Gilli further added that we YRS strongly opposed National Conference, as he was Maharaja of the whole State so holiday been announced on his name, and if it is not so then whole Hindu community stage protest against Oppositions.
Gilli further extended support to Kerni Sabha of Rajasthan for its action against Sanjay Leela Bansali for trying to change the history in his forthcoming film.
Others present were Rajinder, Davinder, Fentu, Vicky, Praveen, Raghuveer, Kaku, Komal, Happy, Ramesh, Manja Manhas, Rajveer, Pushvinder, Tinna, Prem etc.
