JAMMU, Feb 1: RS Pura police arrested a shopkeeper and recovered illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura police station conducted raid and nabbed a shopkeeper, who was facilitating the people for drinking liquor.
The accused has been identified as Mastan Singh alias Ghara, son of Bachan Singh of Kadyal, tehsil RS Pura. Sixteen pouches of illicit liquor were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
A case under FIR Number 18/17 under Section 48-A and 50-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
