KATHUA, Aug 12: BJP national vice-president & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna flagged off ‘Tiranga Yatra’  organised by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in the shape of motorcycle rally from Kalibari Chowk in district Kathua along with MLA Hiranagar, Kuldeep Kumar & MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia and Yuva Morcha State president Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra.
The rally passed via College road Kathua, Nagri More, main bazaar, Ram Leela Ground and culminated near Town Hall Kathua.
Avinash Rai Khanna, while addressing the rally, remembered the heroes of Independence who participated in the rise of freedom struggle with the slogan of “Quit India Movement” in 1942, which ultimately led to the freedom of India from the clutches of colonial rule of British empire in 1947 after a struggle of 5 years by working with the pledge of  “Sankalp Se Sidhi”. He said that “we all have to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his revolution for a wave of patriotism in the whole country”.

Khanna, while addressing the jampacked hall after the rally asked all to work with commitment for the new India free from corruption, illiteracy, casteism, communalism, terrorism, malnutrition, unemployment and insanitation. He said that, “Bharat Jodo Abhiyaan” has been started on national level by the Yuva Morcha to instil the wave of selfless service to the motherland in the hearts of young India, under which rallies will be conducted in every district of India. “Youth must pledge for a “New India” for empowerment among all the sections”, he added.
Rajiv Jasrotia appreciated the role of Yuva Morcha for the steps being taken by its team for the  empowerment of youth and keeping them away from the ill habits for the betterment of the society. He also spoke about the various youth related schemes initiated by the Government for the youth.
Kuldeep Kumar also spoke about the various Centre and State Government schemes for upliftment of the masses. He said that no society can think of progress unless it gives its youth the ample opportunity to progress in the field of studies and employment.
Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra, while addressing the gathering, said that the Yuva Morcha national president Poonam Mahajan started the ‘Tiranga rally’ from Vijay Chowk, Delhi, where she handed over the National flags to all State presidents of Yuva Morcha for taking the message of brotherhood and nationalism to the booth levels in whole country. He said that the youth of modern India must be aware of the glorious past of the nation.
Adv. Vijay, Adv. Ramneek Singh, Adv. Vikas Gupta, Indu Rekha, Rajesh Mehta, Pankaj Raja and others were among the prominent BJP and Yuva Morcha leaders present in the occasion.
In response to Prime Minister’s call BJP Doda organized the “Tiranga Yatra” at Bhaderwah which was led by BJP district Doda president Manjeet Razdan.  BJP workers drawn from different villages of Bhaderwah holding tri colours and party flags in their hands marched through different bazaars and mohallas of Bhaderwah town.
The workers were raising pro-India and pro-party slogans which rent the air. The yatra culminated at Seri Bazaar Bhaderwah. The workers were addressed by BJP district president who threw light on the significance of the tri colour and the dream of Narendra Modi to build a new India. Those who addressed the party workers were Raj Singh Kotwal,  Raj Singh Charak,  Koshal Kotwal, Mohd. Sharief Malik. The stage was managed by Sh. Sanjay Saraf.
BJP Mahila Morcha also organised a scooter rally under the leadership of its President Purnima Sharma in Jammu.
