JAMMU, Jan 9: Youth Congress launched ‘Chalo Panchayat Abhiyaan’ today with an aim to listen to the grievances of people living in various Panchayats across the State.
On this occasion, PCC chief GA Mir and Krishna Allavaru, National Incharge Youth Congress launched the campaign besides Yuva Shakti Card and Kisaan Maang Patra for the benefit of the youths and farmers of the State.
Sishpal and Jagdeep Kamboj National Secretaries IYC Incharge J&K Youth Congress and Uday Bhanu Chib, PYC president were also present.
While speaking on the occasion, Mir said that the ‘Chalo Panchayat Abhiyaan’ was introduced with an aim to get connected with the youths and farmers. He said the aim is to cover all the Panchayats before the elections and interact with the youths and farmers to know about their problems.
“We will touch the people and get to know about their problems probably as part of their strategy before the elections,” Mir added.
Krishna Allavaru, said that under the ‘Chalo Panchayat Abhiyaan’ the Youth Congress activist listened to the grievances of the famers as well as the youth of the Panchayats. He criticized the BJP led Government at the Centre for its failure to address the problems being faced by the people residing rural areas.
Shishpal and Jagdeep Kamboj claimed that political parties have ditched the mandate of Jammu region and surrendered the aspirations of people who voted whole heartedly for seeking justice and equality in the State. They cautioned the people that BJP deceived the people for sake of power and now time has come to launch a decisive movement to end discrimination.
Uday Chib raised serious concern over the unemployment problem being faced by educated youth of Jammu region. He assured that only Congress can resolve the miseries of people of the State. He said under the ‘Chalo Panchayat Abhiyaan’, we fill Yuva Shakti Card and Kisaan Maang Patra related to the issues of people residing the rural areas and the same will be addressed if Congress voted to power. He appealed to the people of the State to wholeheartedly support the campaign.
“Congress is the only Party, which can provide a stable Government in J&K and fulfill the aspiration of all three regions of the State, particularly, Jammu,” Chib said.
