REASI, Jan 21: Youth Congress workers today held a protest against the Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs for its alleged failure to provide ration, particularly sugar and adequate floor.
Shouting slogans against the Department as well as the PDP-BJP Coalition Government, the agitating Youth Congress activists, led by Amit Sharma, forced closure of the Consumer Affairs store in the town.
They were demanding proper supply of ration as per old scale, timely supply of ration at the stores, supply of sugar to public, etc.
Later on, they also submitted a memorandum to DDC Reasi Ravinder Kumar for the early redressal of the problems. DDC assured them to put forward their demands to the concerned authority for early redressal.
