Youth arrested for impersonation

JAMMU, Jan 3: Akhnoor police arrested a youth when he was appearing in the examination in place of his real brother at Government school, Sohal.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Ashok Kumar Sharma, Superintendent, Center Number 2403, Government Higher Secondary School, Sohal with police station Akhnoor stating that during the Private SSE of Mathematics, it was detected that Sikinder Kumar was sitting in the exam in place of his brother Nirmal Sharma, son of Makoru Ram of Gurha Brahmana bearing roll number 2403193.
During enquiry, the accused person started fighting with the Assistant Superintendent and also manhandled him, the complainant added.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 5/17 under Section 419 and 420 RPC and 3/5 Unfair Means of Examination Act was registered at police station Akhnoor and the accused was arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
