UDHAMPUR, Nov 12: A young girl committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling fan hook at her house in village Sangoor, here today.
The deceased was identified as 18-year old Malbi, daughter of Varinder Singh of Sangoor. She was found hanging from ceiling fan hook under mysterious circumstances. Family member brought the hanging girl down and rushed her to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Later, the dead body was sent for postmortem. The police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem handed over the body to family members for last rites.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
