JAMMU, Jan 9: A woman was found murdered with her throat slit in Lower Ratno Chack area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gangyal Police Station.
As per reports, 55-year-old Basanti Devi, wife of late Mangat Ram, resident of lower Ratno Chack was found murdered with her throat slit at her residence.
The deceased’s son, when returned home today morning, found her mother in the pool of blood with her throat slit and informed the police.
On getting information, police party from Gangyal Police Station rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
