JAMMU, Sept 1 5: A 45-year-old woman was today found hanging at her residence in Domana area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a woman identified as Priya Devi (45) wife of Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Domana, was found hanging this afternoon at her residence by her husband, who immediately rushed her in unconscious condition to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites. However, the reason behind this extreme step taken by the woman could not be ascertained immediately.
In this connection, a case under relevant Sections has been registered at police station Domana and further investigation started.
