JAMMU, Mar 13: A young woman today allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Channi Himmat area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesman, the woman identified as Khushbir Kour (30) wife of Narinder Singh, resident of House No 6, Sector A, Sainik Colony, was found hanging at her residence by the family members, who immediately rushed her in an unconscious condition to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
“The dead body was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for post mortem”, he said, adding, Channi Himmat police has initiated inquest proceedings in the case, as no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
