This is in reference to the article “Water crisis stare Jammuites” DE Mar 13.
A wonderful and eye opener article written by the writer describing the upcoming crisis of water. I only want to ask the administration why they tighten their belts only after the water crisis hit the city? Why don’t they follow preventive approach instead of curative approach.
Are they waiting that the people will get educated in 1-2 years and a miracle will happen and they will start using water judiciously. Had this to be happen, it would have happened till date but there is no improvement in the behaviour of the people. So it is high time and without any further delay the Government should take strict measure and start supplying limited water for domestic and commercial purposes. At least, some water could be saved for coming times.
