JAMMU, Mar 30: All J&K SRTC Volunteers Retired Employees Association (VREA) held a protest demonstration against the management of J&K SRTC and higher authorities of Transport Department.
The protestors led by Dev Raj Bali, president, VREA, raised slogans against the J&K SRTC and Transport Department for not redressing their long pending demands.
While speaking, Dev Raj Bali said that the J&K SRTC and higher authorities of Transport Department are bent upon to harass the VRS employees of J&K SRTC.
He demanded 126 slabs of COLA with pending arrears since 1999 and arrears of 6th Pay Commission due from January 1, 2006.
Among others present were Surinder Singh, general secretary, Balwinder Singh, DN Sharma, BB Sharma, Surjit Singh, Sain Mohammad, Kulbir Singh, etc.
