VoJ produces challan against four revenue officials

JAMMU, Mar 6: Vigilance Organization Jammu (VoJ) produced challan in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Court Jammu against four revenue officials and one beneficiary for bungling in Roshni Act.
The Revenue Officials against whom the challan was produced in the court of law included Subash Singh Chib the then Naib Tehsildar, Nagrota, Sadiq Ahmed the then Patwari Katal Batal Nagrota, Naryan Singh the then Tehsildar, Jammu (now retired), Amar Singh the then Tehsildar Nagrota (now retired), Mohan Lal the then Girdawar Katal Batal (now retired), Bashir Ahmed S/o, Hosher Din R/o Kata Batal Tehsil & district Jammu (Beneficiary) in case FIR NO. 15/2014 P/S VOJ.
According to a VoJ hand over the case was registered on May 29, 2014 U/S 5 (1) (d), 5 (2) J&K PC Act 2006 read with Section, 17 of J& K States Land (vesting of ownership to Occupants) Act 2001 and 120-B RPC .
Facts of the case are that a verification was conducted into the allegations regarding bunglings committed in the implementation of Jammu & Kashmir States Land (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act, 2001 Roshni Act. During the verification, in one of the cases, it had emerged that in respect of Case file No. 911-A of Bashir Ahmed S/o Hoshar Din R/o Katal Batal, Tehsil & District Jammu land measuring 63 Kanals and 15 Marlas comprising in Khasra No. 259, 260, 261, 263 & 264 of Village Katal Batal was ordered for vesting the ownership vide Order No. DCJ/HQA/Roshni/Agr.-2383-84 dated 15.10.2007 by District Collector, Jammu and out of the 24 Kanals and 03 Marlas of land was Ghair Mumkin Phat.
Pursuant to order passed by District Collector, Jammu, the land was transferred in favour of Bashir Ahmed vide Mutation No. 760 of 2008 under aforementioned Act in Agriculture category.
