Vocational course on communication skills organized at GDC Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, May 10:  The valedictory function organized for the distribution of certificates among the students who have completed their short term certificate course in communication skills at the Government Degree College (Boys) Udhampur concluded today with an impressive valedictory function, here today.
The course was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College in collaboration with Department of Lifelong Learning University of Jammu. Prof Sudhir Singh, Faculty PG Deptt of English, was the resource person of the Course.
The Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal, who was chief guest in the valedictory function, said that youth are not only fast at learning the required skills but also have energy and enthusiasm. “Skill development according to the market demand is a must and I am happy to know that the College is thinking on these lines,” she said and urged the students to enjoy their studies and couple them with fun to keep away the stress.
She also distributed certificates among the Heritage Volunteers of the Heritage Club of the College for their active participation in all the activities of the Club.
Earlier Ms Mudgal had a round of the College campus and appreciated the development works done by the College in the recent past under various schemes sponsored by the State and Central Government.
Principal Dr Nutan K Resutra in his welcome address said, “Our focus and priority is to ensure that our students feel comfortable on campus and harmoniously grow in a conducive environment created specially for them.” He also made a PPT of the campus development and action plan for the current session.
