JAMMU, Feb 25: Sansa Foundation in association with various departments of Government of Jammu and Kashmir, organized mega show titled ‘Vision Jammu and Kashmir 2017’ at City K K Resorts.
The mega exhibition was aimed to highlight the Government flag ship programmes in the State. MP Shamsher Singh Manhas was chief guest in the valedictory ceremony. He appreciated the exhibitors for display and also presented trophies to those adjudged as best.
Manhas opined that such exhibitions in the State should be organized regularly as these events are useful for the students and public. He also felt proud about the various flagship programmes the Government of India Ministries are offering. He focused on the need of providing youth a bouquet of information so that they move in the right direction and bring prosperity to their homes as well as contribute in the nation building.
Other dignitaries, present at the fair, included Ram Aavtar, IG BSF Jammu; D P Karnik , Director Publicity ISRO; Vinul Kaul D M Incharge – Powergrid and Meenu Mahajan, Miss India Fame 2016-2017.
Overall trophy for the Best Stall Display was given to Power Grid Corporation, which registered a hat trick with this achievement.
Award for Best Display ( Information ) was given to ISRO while Best Display award in Health was bagged by AYUSH. Best Display in Products information was given to Central Silk Board. Special Encouragement Award was given to the students of K C International for their models displayed at the exhibition.
The event was visited by a large number of students and others.
