Vikrant Finance Company booked for duping depositors

JAMMU, Aug 22: Crime Branch Jammu has booked Vikrant Finance Company for cheating and duping the depositors of their hard earned money in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy.
A case  FIR number 19/2014  under Section  420, 406, 120-B RPC  has been registered against partners of the company, namely Kewal Koul son of  Amar Nath of Ward number  7 Rajouri,  Rakesh Kumar son of  Surinder Kumar of  Ward number  9 Rajouri, Ashwani Kumar son of  Ved Vyas of Ward  number 7 Rajouri,  and Kamal Kumar Gupta son of  Bhagat Ram of Ward  number 12 Rajouri.
The accused persons had opened the Vikrant Finance Company in the year 1994-95 with their office at main market Rajouri town without any authorization and registration from the Reserve Bank of India etc. They started accepting deposits from the innocent depositors illegally after alluring them of high rate of interest. However, in the year 2012 the company turned defaulter and the accused persons refused to liquidate an amount of about Rs 7-8 crores belonging to the poor depositors thereby cheating and misappropriating the deposited amount and duping the depositors of their hard earned money in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy.
The case was registered following a written complaint in the shape of legal notice served by Deepak Sharma, Advocate Rajouri on behalf of his client Parshotam Lal son of Trilok Chand of Ward number 9 Rajouri.
