Vigilance books LAWDA officials

SRINAGAR, Sept 27: Vigi-lance Organization Kashmir has booked officials of LAWDA and beneficiaries, who have illegally constructed a building for commercial purpose.
There was a complaint that Ab Rahim Bhat, his sons Manzoor Ahmad Bhat and Altaf Ahmad Bhat,  residents of Brain Manzgam Nishat Srinagar,  have constructed two storeyed building  illegally and there had been no building permission sought from the concerned department.
During the verification,  it came to fore that the accused persons have constructed two stoyered building without seeking building permission from the LAWDA and also construed  the court order of 1st  Civil Sub Judge/Municipal Magistrate Srinagar,  passed on 31-12-2013 restraining the subject from raising any further construction in violation of building laws and further directing  LAWDA authorities not to allow any illegal construction at the specified area.
In  connivance with LAWDA authorities, the accused  constructed three more stories making in all five stories on the illegal structure in which commercial activities in shape of private school under the name and style  ” Kong Posh High School ‘  is functioning .  After conclusion of enquiry into the allegation, the act of commission and omission on part of the officers/officials of LAWDA  and beneficiaries  were prime-facie found  punishable under 5(1)(d) read with 5(2) P.C Act  Svt. 2006 section 120-B, RPC  and accordingly a case FIR NO. 27/2017 of PS VOK has been registered.
