Srinagar, Aug 2: Two Scooty riders died on spot while another was seriously injured when a speedy Sumo hit it near Shalteng area on city outskirts today.
A police official said a speedy Sumo (JK09-8056) hit a Scooty near Shalteng. The sumo driver fled from the spot while police has seized the vehicle and registered a formal case against the erring driver.
Among the three riders, two died on spot while the critically wounded pillion rider Barkatullah Dar was shifted to SMHS hospital here. The police identified the deceased persons as Fayaz Ahmed Dar and Ghulam Muhammad Dar.
