JAMMU, Mar 13: Miran Sahib police arrested two absconding notorious criminals, who were evading their arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a raid was conducted by a team from police station Miran Sahib and apprehended one hardcore criminal, who has been identified as Bagh Ali alias Baggu, son of Mangat Ali of Laswara, Bishnah.
He was involved in cases registered under FIR Number 182/16 under Section 379 RPC with police station Miran Sahib, FIR Number 382/13 under Section 382/34 IPC and FIR Number 45/14 under Section 223 and 224 registered with police station Nurpur, Himachal Pradesh. The court has already issued warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the said absconder who was also involved in cases registered under FIR Number 332/13 under Section 457 and 380 RPC with police station Gandhi Nagar, FIR Number 161/13 under Section 382 and 323 RPC with police station Janipur, FIR Number 150/13 under Section 341, 323, 147 and 148 RPC and FIR Number 155/13 under Section 382, 323/34 RPC with police station Bishnah.
The associate of the accused namely Mureed Ahmed, son of Mohammad Hussain of Marallian has also been arrested by the Miran Sahib police. Both the accused had escaped from the custody of police station Nurpur, Himachal Pradesh.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
The arrests were made by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Pawan Kumar under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
