JAMMU, May 30: TRJ Football Club crushed Alexandra Football Club by eight goals to nil (8-0), while Shaheen Football Club registered a solitary goal (1-0) win over Churchill Brothers ‘A’ in the ongoing 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup Football League Tournament-2018, being organized by the District Football Association (DFA) Jammu, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
In the first match, TRJ Football Club rode on superb three goals scored by Ashish thrashed the rival Alexandra Club by (8-0) goals. Adharaj, Akshal, Abhishek, Preduman and Ashish Charak netted the remaining goals for the winners.
In another match, Shaheen Football Club defeated Churchill Brothers ‘A’ by one goal to nil (1-0). Deepanshu was the goal scorer for Shaheen Football Club in the 6th minute of the match.
The matches were officiated by Rahul Ghai, Honey, Sanju and Rocky Sharma, while the prominent guests in today’s proceedings were Sheikh Mehmood, Charan Dass, Yousuf Don, Bharat Bhushan, Mohan Lal, Kamalpreet Singh, Shehnaz Iqbal, Rakesh Jr, Deepak Sangral, Parveen Kumar and Kamaljeet.
