Train service disrupted in south Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Train service was disrupted due to moderate to heavy rain and snow, since early Thursday morning, in south Kashmir.
However, train service was normal in north Kashmir, a railway official said.
He said train service was suspended between Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region due to water-logging of railway track at Hiller. ”The train run is normal on Budgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund track,” he added.
He said once the weather improves and the track is clear, the service will be restored. (AGENCIES)
