Traders Welfare Association seeks completion of tourism related projects

JAMMU, Oct 19: Traders Welfare Association, General Bus Stand, Jammu held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Ramesh Kumar Tak and general secretary Rajan Gupta.
In the meeting, the speakers said that the ongoing tourism projects which were started by the previous NC-Congress coalition Government with a view to attract tourists and pilgrims to make Jammu as an independent tourist destination are facing total neglect.
While speaking, Tak said that the work of multi-storied shopping complex with parking at general bus stand Jammu should be started soon.
Tak also demanded completion of tourism related projects like artificial lake project on Tawi River, Ropeway Project, renovation of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and ISBT at general bus-stand, etc.
He added that sincere efforts are required to ensure completion of ongoing projects to ensure Jammu as independent tourist destination and appealed to MLA East Rajesh Gupta to pursue the issues related to tourism promotion in Jammu vigorously.
Among others present in the meeting were Chairman of the Association Surinder Relly, senior vice president Suresh Suri, vice president Tara Chand, chief organizer Babu Ram, cashier Vipin Gupta, etc.
