Theft solved, stolen property recovered

RAJOURI, Jan 25: Nowshera police solved a theft case  and recovered stolen property from the arrested      burglar.
A police spokesman said that house of one Rajni Bala, wife of Balraj, resident of Rajal in Nowshera had been burgled when she had gone to Delhi along with other family members to attend last rites of her mother-in-law on January 21. After arriving here,  she found that her  Almirah was broken and her gold ornaments, some cash, ATM card and some other costly items had been stolen.
She lodged report  with the Nowshera police after arriving here on January 23. The police party led by SHO Mohd  Bashir picked up some suspects and placed them under sustained questioning. One of them broke and confessed to have stolen cash and gold from the house.  He was identified as Mohd Rafi, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Rajal.
A case FIR No. 9/ 2017 was registered against him. He had also withdrawn Rs 11,500 from ATM.    The police also made recovery of goods  worth Rs 73,500  from his possession. ASP Nowshera Atul Sharma was supervising  the case.
