Teli Welfare Association lists demands

JAMMU, Feb 23: Teli Welfare Association Jammu in its meeting here today highlighted the demands of the community and made an appeal to the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to fulfill the same.
Addressing the meeting Mohammed Latif Malik Teli, general secretary of the Association said even after over 65 years of independence neither the State Government nor the Central Government has taken any step for the upliftment of the Teli Community. He alleged that Teli community is intentionally and deliberately ignored as till date not a single demand of the community was settled till date.
He demanded establishment of hostel for the Teli community on the pattern of Gujjar and Bakerwal community, special employment package for the community and reservation for the community in professional colleges and Government services. He said inclusion of Teli Community in OSC is just an eye wash.
