Team Jammu for death sentence to drug smugglers

JAMMU, Nov 25: Terming narco terrorism as biggest threat, Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal has demanded death sentence to the narcotics smugglers.
Addressing an emergency meeting of the Team Jammu members, he appreciated Jammu Police for affecting one of the biggest recoveries of narcotics besides arresting the accused smugglers here yesterday and said that the recovery has vindicated Team Jammu’s repeated assertion that attempts were being made by the enemies to spread narco terrorism in the State.
“Yesterday’s recovery is  a tip of the iceberg and  more rackets are believed to be operating in the State, which needed to be busted with a vigorous and continuous drives by the law enforcing agencies,” he said and appealed the  Police top brass to direct all the  district heads to exhibit similar types of surgical strikes in their respective jurisdictions.
Zorawar Singh said that Team Jammu has been making continuous efforts to aware people, particularly youth against the dangers of narco terrorism, which is being abetted and sponsored by neighbouring Pakistan. Maintaining that seizure of  15.3 kg Heroin (Chitta) was more significant than RDX, Jamwal explained that the recovered narcotics was around 45 lakh doses of drugs, which means devastating life of 45 lakh youth of the State.
” This Narco terrorism is more dangerous than other kinds of terror and we should not take it lightyly as one of the  menaces prevailing in the society  but a dangerous  threat, which can completely devastate our entire younger generation,” he warned and strongly appealed the law makers to ensure   stringent provisions, including  death penalty to the narcotic smugglers.
Demanding all out efforts to ensure that the persons linked with drugs smuggling could not escape from the clutches of law, Team Jammu chief also appealed the Government to suitably honour and reward the cops, who effected such a big achievement of recovering huge quantity of heroin and thus saved the lives of innocent youths.
