Teachers Forum submits charter of demands to Education Minister

JAMMU, Mar 14: During a meeting between Minister of Education Syed Altaf Bukhari and the  leaders of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, the JKTF submitted a twenty- point charter of demands of the teaching community.
These demands include scraping of Order No. 66 dated: 16-02-2017 regarding screening test, release of pending salary in favour of SSA IRMS and Head Teachers.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured the delegation that all the genuine problems of teaching will be solved within a fixed time frame. He also said that future of children and restoration of dignity and honour of teachers was his priority and teachers would feel the positive change very soon.
The delegation, headed by State general secretary JKTF, Ganesh Khajuria, also met MoS for Education, Priya Sethi today and apprised her about problems and difficulties being faced by the teaching community and the same twenty point charter
of demands.
The MoS also assured the delegation that so called SRO 66 regarding screening test will be withdrawn very soon and the unadjusted Masters of Jammu Division will be provided a justice at an earliest.
The delegation comprised of Y og Raj Singh Salathia, Gopal Singh, Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Subash Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Satish Chadha,  Sanjay Baria, Mohd. Shafi, Mir Ali, Thokar Bashir, Harmeet Jamwal, Pawan Kumar, Neeraj  Sharma, Jyoti Arora and others.
