Tassaduq Mufti, Bukhari visit migrant camps, address election meetings

JAMMU, Mar 30:Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency Tassaduq Mufti organized election meetings in migrant camps and migrant colonies in Jammu and appealed displaced people from Valley to vote for his Party in both Anantnag and Srinagar Parliamentary constituencies in the by elections to be held next month.
Mufti was accompanied by Minister of Horticulture Basharat Bukhari, senior Party leader Ved Mahajan and other leaders of the party.
Addressing the migrants meeting at Sharda Colony, Patoli  which was organized by ex Sarpanch and PDP leader Nana Ji Raina, Mufti said that he has a vision for the people of the trouble torn State of J&K and in case he emerges victorious he will work for its accomplishment.
He said his family including his late father Mufti Mohammed Sayeed had a lot of concern for the welfare of the people of the State and for his entire life he worked for strengthening the secular and socialistic values in the State, fought against poverty and corruption and worked to bridge the gap between the people of three regions.
He said it was the love and respect which Mufti Mohammed Sayeed commanded from the three regions of the State that he was elected from R S Pura Assembly segment to State Legislature in 1984.
Tassaduq Mufti said he will work to fulfill the dreams of his late father as well as work for restoration of peace and brotherhood in the State which has suffered an immense loss over the years.
He said he does not believe in making false promises to people as for him people value more in democracy and are supreme than leaders. He said if he emerges victorious in the election he will engage himself in service of poor and downtrodden sections of society and in case not he will still continue to serve the people of his State.
Addressing the gathering Basharat Bukhari said that file regarding grant of RBA status to migrants from RBA is before the Government and it will be cleared soon and a long pending demand of the community will be solved. He said the remaining posts under PM package for migrant youth will be filled up soon as the process has already been initiated in this regard.
He assured migrants that their problems will be solved as this Government is particular in finding an everlasting solution to your problems. Addressing the gathering Ashok Sidha president PDP Migrant Cell appealed community members to fill up M Forms and cast their vote enmass in favour of PDP candidates to bring Kashmir closer to India and for restoration of complete peace in the State. He said the need of hour is to strengthen the PDP -BJP coalition in the State.
Nana Ji Raina also appealed people to vote for PDP candidates and highlighted the demands of relief holders who are put to many hardships. Dr Ramesh Bhat in his address demanded passage of Shrines and Temples Bill.
Earlier the PDP leaders visited Durga Nagar, Buta Nagar and Purkhoo and Jagti camps.
At Buta Nagar PDP leader Ashok Dhar and others also addressed the gathering.
At Jagti AMCCC president Desh Rattan while addressing the gathering highlighted the various problems of the displaced people. He appealed the migrants to fill up the M Forms and cast their vote in favour of PDP candidates from Srinagar and Anantnag constituencies.
PDP Migrant Cell general secretary Rakesh Pardesi, other leaders Nana Ji Wattal,  S K Jawhar, Sunil Bali, Sunil Bhat , M K Bhat and others accompanied Tassaduq Mufti.
