TA committed to protect river Tawi, other water resources

JAMMU, July 28: Tawi Andolan, (TA) New Plots is committed to protection and preservation of river Tawi and other water resources, environment, heritage and protection of tourism and devolopment in Jammu province.
This was stated by convenor  of Tawi Andolan  Chander Mohan Sharma in a statement issued here today. He said that the volunteers of the J&K Women Economical and Social Development Society (NGO) led by its chief Mitu Rajput extended support to the Andolan. The society has 1500 volunteers to engage in various development works and upliftment of women particularly in rural areas.
The State Government has to be persuaded for releasing funds for diversion of 17 nallahs of Jammu city which are major sources of population.
