Sunil kick-starts restoration works on Batote-Kishtwar highway

KISHTWAR, Jan 2: Minister of State for Transport, R&B, Revenue, RDD and Panchayati Raj, Sunil Kumar Sharma, today kick-started restoration works on Batote-Kishtwar road.
An amount of Rs 95 crore would be expended on this project which would ensure several restoration works on this vital road including black topping and other requisite works.
The Minister directed the concerned Executive Engineers to ensure that the work is done expeditiously for its timely completion.
The Minister, while addressing an impressive gathering at Thathri, said the Government believes in ensuring work on ground rather than making hollow slogans mere to get political mileage which was the working mantra for the previous regimes.
“With the people’s cooperation and by the dint of officers hard work we have succeeded in translating our commitments into actions which is visible on ground”, he maintained while highlighting the achievements of present dispensation. He added that the Government has a mission for all round development of every part of the state with focus on remote and hilly areas.
State Gen Secretary Minority Morcha, Tariq Hussain besides officers and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
