RAMBAN, May 15: The students of a Government school held protest, here today.
Large number of students of Government Middle School, Dhanwa Ramsu assembled at Magarkote and blocked the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Amid slogans against the Education Department, the protesting students said that the department is playing with their future by not appointing adequate staff in the school.
“Due to shortage of staff, our studies are suffering badly, but the department is not taking any action to save our future”, the protesting students said, adding that if the department failed to appoint adequate staff in the school, then they will protest in aggressive manner and for any untoward incident, the Government and the Education Department will be responsible.
After getting information, officials from police department and civil administration rushed to the spot and pacified the students by assuring them that their demand will be redressed at the earliest.
