JAMMU, Nov 5: Rajinder Singh Chib, State BJP Kisan Morcha president called on National BJP Kisan Morcha, president Vijay Pal Singh Tomar at BJP head office at Delhi, and presented memorandum containing charter of demands, today.
State BJP Kisan Morcha in its memorandum presented to national president highlighted that due to heavy shelling and cease-fire violation in the adjoining areas of borders, farmers are not able to harvest their crop with the result their families are starving and there is no other source of income for them.
Further the memorandum said that their crop is totally damaged so on behalf of people of Jammu and specially farmers, who were suffering badly demanded to provide proper compensation for their fields and crop.
The Kisan morcha also sought assurance from the authorities for sustenance of their livelihood in future also as time and again they are forced to migrate from their homes and hearths due to cross border firing and their livelihood gets threatened.
