Udhampur, Nov 23: In the memory of martyr SI Imran Tak and extending a helping hand to the general public with “SAHULAT” initiatives wherein the grievances of general public are redressed in timebound manner, Udhampur police today dedicated one passenger shed to the general public of Tikri area under the jurisdiction of Rehmbal police station.

The passenger shed was constructed by police on Public Private Partnership basis, which was today inaugurated by SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat, in the presence of Additional SP Faisal Qureshi, DySP HQ Kameshwar Puri, SHO Rehmbal Inspector Sanjeev Chib, IC PP Tikri SI Sanjeet Sharma and prominent citizens of Tikri.
While speaking on the occasion, the SSP appreciated the initiative and congratulated civil society members involved in the construction of this passenger shed. He said that District Police Udhampur will continue similar endeavours of public service on crime as well as on community policing front taking ahead the agenda of  “SAHULAT” for the general public. “The service to people shall bear the hallmark of the martyrs’ sacrifice”, he added.
