SSP asks hoteliers to ensure proper records of visitors, foreigners

KISHTWAR, June 17: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Wazir today called a meeting of all hoteliers and incharges of educational institutes, here.
SSP advised all the hoteliers to have proper registration of records of all the visitors and the details of the same be sent to the nearest police station and police post on next day. Incase any foreigner stays in their hotels, the information should immediately be shared with the nearest police station or police post to ensure the authenticity of the visitors, Wazir added.
SSP said that all the hotels should maintain their Email-IDs in the name of their hotels and upload the full biodata of all the visitors in the same.
Wazir also advised the incharges of educational institutes to inform the police station if any foreigner student is taking admission in their institutes for verification and record.
SSP while briefing the participants said that the briefing in this regard has been felt necessary from security point of view, so that in case of surprise checking by police for such purposes, the hoteliers may not feel harassed. He also advised hoteliers for strictly checking of visitors’ luggage to avoid any mishap.
He said that police is also launching a drive to prepare records of all the tenants in District, so that authenticity of all the outsiders residing in district will be checked.
