JAMMU, Oct 20: Continuing with the drive to ensure availability of wholesome sweets on the eve of Deewali, a team of the Food Safety Officers, carried out inspections of Food Business operator namely Global Agencies, Nowabad, Canal Road Jammu and found that such firm is involved in selling of spurious Khoya in the Market.
During inspection, was observed that said firm had 108 Packet ( 216 Kg) amounting Rs 31,104 stocked in the cold storage in the said premises. The said Khoya was being sold on the name of Special sweets containing ingredients such as Skimmed Milk Powder, Milk solids and Edible Vegetable fat manufactured by Bharti Milk Food Pvt Ltd, Nugal Majara Road, Kung Pura P O Baragoan, Karnal-132023- Haryana and Marketted by Goodrich Nutriesters Pvt Ltd village Nagla, Meerut Road, Karnal -132001- Haryana.
Two samples of such products have been lifted and sent to the Laboratory for carrying out tests, besides all the above said stock has been seized. Moreover, one sample of Khoya was also lifted from the vendor namely Daulat Ram & Sons, Raghunath Bazar, Jammu as soon as the said firm received consignment from outside State through railway and sent to the Food Testing laboratory for analysis.
