SOSDEA highlights demands

JAMMU, Jan 28: Stationery and Office Supplies Department Employees’ Association (SOSDEA) today highlighted demands in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Babu Hussain Malik.
The meeting highlighted the burning demands of the employees including opening of Stationery Depots in the newly created eight districts of the State, amendment of SRO-365, reorganization of the department by combining the seniority of all employees and regularization of daily wagers, contractual, adhoc and daily rated workers.
The office bearers of the Association also demanded enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years and medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, besides release of 10% DA installment due since July 2013.
The president of the Association urged the Government to consider the burning demands of the employees, alleging that due to delay in redressal of employees’ demands the working of the department is suffering a lot.
