JAMMU, Jan 30: Fourth convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, is going to be held on February 8 wherein Vice-President Hamid Ansari will give away degrees to the pass-outs.
Governor N N Vohra, who is Chancellor of SMVDU, will preside over the convocation function in which Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will also participate as the State guest, sources informed the Excelsior.
The convocation function will be held in Maitri Auditorium of the University from 10 a.m. onwards on February 8. More than one hundred PhD scholars and PG pass-outs of the university will be awarded degree during the convocation.
Pertinent to mention here that Vice-President Hamid Ansari will also be the chief guest in valedictory function of the Indian Science Congress at Jammu University on February 7.
