SMI to hold three day national convention from today

JAMMU, Oct 20: Social Movement of India (SMI), social organisation of Aboriginal Indigenous Indians viz SCs, STs, OBCs and Converted Minorities, is organising three days national convention, which is commencing from tomorrow.
This was stated in a press conference, wherein SMI office bearers expressed that about delegations and intellectuals from 22 States are going to participate on the issue of “How can aboriginal indigenous Indians viz SCs, STs, OBCs, and converted minorities who constitute over 90% of the total population, be brought on a single platform to achieve their ultimate objective of change of socio-religious system in India”.
While expressing the purpose of this National convention, the office bearers of SMI further expressed their serious concern with respect to the maintenanca of status-quo by the manuwadi forces in the social system of degradation despite passing of 70 years after Independence.
Others present on the occasion were Master Dharam Paul (chief patron), Gurdas Bhagat (National president), Hem Chand Chouhan (national general secretary), Ajit Kumar Vashishath (State president) Hem Raj Phonsa, (prominent social activist) Des Raj Yadav, Madan Lal, Dayal Singh, Dheeraj Thapa, Dr Jeet Raj Bazala, Sarwan Kumar Kundal, Bansi Lal Chargatra, Jai Paul, Purshotama Kumari, Ajay Jagotra, Bhagat Bhushan, Kanwarjeet Sethi and Ashok Kumar Basotra.
