Srinagar, Feb 16: Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) is going to issue prompt building permissions and will clear all the pending ones on fast track basis.
Commissioner SMC, Dr Shafqat Khan said that obtaining building permission for repairs/renovations will no more be a lengthy process as it takes precious time and energy of the applicant.
Khan said that he has instructed the planning wing of SMC to dispose of the building permissions cases within a stipulated time under Public Service Guarantee Act.
“There will be no inconvinience to the general public on building permissions. The building permission on the whole has to be a speedy process at large”, said Dr Shafqat.
He said that the Ward Officers have been directed to conduct site inspection of permitted construction on routine basis in their respective wards so that the there are no deviations of Municipal Plan.
Meanwhile, five illegal / unauthorised structures coming up at Ali Jan Road Eidgah were demolished today by demolition wing of Corporation.
