SKUAST-J faculties accredited by ICAR

JAMMU, Apr 12: National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board of ICAR (New Delhi) has approved accreditation of all three faculties  of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) Jammu for a period of five years.
The ICAR Board, in its XIX meeting,  approved accreditation of all the three faculties viz. Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry and Faculty of Basic Sciences of SKUAST-Jammu, which  is running three graduate programs, two in Agriculture and one in Veterinary Sciences, besides 34 teaching programs at PG level in addition to the MBA in Agri-Business Management.
Pertinent to mention here that the ICAR Peer Review team had visited the University on February 27 to March 02, 2017 for a detailed study and assessment of the working of the University for accreditation. The team took stock of all the academic programmes, available infrastructure, sports facilities, scientific lab equipments, experiential learning units, sub-tribal plan, medical centre, library etc.  The team visited different divisions of the university, library, hostels, research Farms and experiential learning units and interacted with students and faculty members.
