RAJOURI, Apr 25: An impressive Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Parshuram was taken out in Rajouri town in connection with the Parshuram Jayanti here today.
The grand religious programme was organised by Sanatan Dharam Sabha Rajouri in association with various other religious and social organizations of Rajouri and its surrounding areas. Several tractor trolleys were highly decorated and converted into chariots where tableau of Bhagwan Parshuram were mounted, carrying large axe (Pharsa) and bow and quiver filled with arrows, in traditional attire of a Brahmin.
A large number of women and children also participated in the Shobha Yarta. They were singing devotional songs and raising religious slogans. The religious procession after passing through various markets and city localities was culminated at the place of its origin. Senior officers of the Administration along with police party were accompanying the procession.
